i feel like it isn’t just kyle getting twinkified that makes him so ooc in fanfic

it’s also him flipping his lid at the drop of a hat. donald duck style. Like yes, Kyle is short tempered. But really we only see him being short tempered when it comes to Cartman or if someone is insulting him/his family directly. Kyle is actually a pretty patient person. His temper gets the best of him sometimes, yeah, but like-when people write him as someone who gets into a fight with someone for making a joke not even portioning to him, or my favorite(/s), when people write x reader fics of him like-smacking his partner for saying something to him that might have been a little bit rude. like couples fight yeah, but kyle is not abusive. Kyle wouldn’t be an abusive partner. At all.

There are always two sides to The Great Out of Character spectrum when it comes to Kyle. He’s either a twink UwU femboy who cries whenever he gets yelled at or he’s some feral asshole who goes around beating people up and slapping girls for rejecting him. He’s neither. He’s short tempered, but he’s also very open to other people’s opinions. He’s very in touch with the fact that he isn’t always right, and while it may upsets him, literally he says “i’ve learned something today” like does that mean nothing? Like he’s short tempered, but he’s also patient. He just doesn’t have patience for antisemitism or anything on that nature. Which is completely normal. It would be more concerning if Cartman’s comments didn’t upset him. But he’s not someone who would lash out without reason. Every time he has fought Cartman, he’s had a reason. Every time he’s yelled at Cartman, he’s had a reason. He has a reason for almost every decision he makes.

Also stop with the whole “Kyle hates women because he can’t pull so he’s gay now” trope. Thats not how it works, that’s homophobic because it’s enabling the myth that being gay is a choice, and it’s just annoying that that’s 95% of shippers’ mindsets. Hes not some Andrew Tate clone so you guys can stop with that. Literally saw a take saying Kyle listens to those anti women podcasts. As if he wouldn’t be pissed off about those even existing. Just because he couldn’t pull in elementary school doesn’t mean he’s cut off from live. Wary, maybe. But not being able to keep a girlfriend AT NINE YEARS OLD is completely normal.
